Tri-State can provide hot/wet taps from ¾" to 12" on cast iron, ductile, transite, PVC, galvanized steel, copper, and brass.

Hot Taps
Hot taps are typically performed on lines from ¾" to 2". Hot taps allow for a new branch connection without shutting down the existing piping system. Hot tap connections can be performed on various lines; such as, hydrogen, hot/cold water, steam, brined, etc. Hot taps are generally performed on black pipe, galvanized pipe, copper pipe, and brass pipe. Hot taps can be done on welded fittings or bolt-on fittings when welding is prohibited. Hot taps can also allow for the installation of probe and flow meters in a live line.

Wet Taps
Wet tap connections are often performed on water and sewer mains, while the system remains under working pressure. Wet taps allow for new connections to be made without any service interruption. Tri-State performs wet taps from 4" to 12".

Corporation Wet Taps
Corporation wet taps are typically 2" or less and can be performed on any size main.

Backflow Preventer Testing
Backflow preventers are used where there is a potential cross-connection in the water supply to/in a building. A cross-connection is any actual or potential connection between any part of a potable water system and any source of contamination or pollution. As spelled out by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the New Jersey Safe Water Drinking Act, and the New Jersey Standard Plumbing Code many buildings need to have their backflow preventers tested annually or quarterly. Tri-State is certified in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania (NEWWA cert. 10272) to test and repair all backflow preventers to assure your facility remains in compliance with state regulations.

We also provide backflow preventer testing, certification and maintenance on reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assemblies, dual check valve assemblies (DCVA), pressure vacuum breakers, spill-resistant pressure vacuum breakers, and swing check valve assemblies.

Additional Services
We can also provide curb stop and curb box.
